Daniel's Prophecy on the Last Half of the 70^th^ Week
In Chapters 16 and 17, we have unlocked the major part of Daniel's prophecy on the 70 weeks in Daniel 9:24-27. Here, we discuss the prophecy on the last half of the 70th week. Before we do this, we repeat the verses of Daniel 9:26-27 below:
In Chapter 17, we proved that the 70th week started on 11 Nisan 27 AD. The Messiah was crucified on 14 Nisan 30 AD, which was in the middle of the 70th week. Thus, the crucifixion of Yeshua in 30 AD confirmed the prophecy in the first part of Daniel 9:26. The second part of verse 26 means that to the Messiah himself, he was not actually cut off. He was not cut off because he resurrected 3 days and 3 nights after his crucifixion. The resurrected Messiah went back to heaven and sat on the right-hand side of his Father on the Feast of Pentecost of 30 AD. The third part of verse 26 tells us that the Messiah would destroy the city and the sanctuary with the coming prince. Yeshua himself also prophesied the destruction of the temple and the city when he was with his disciples. God gave the Jews a grace period of 40 years hoping for their repentance at the preaching of His only begotten Son. Since they did not repent, God poured out His wrath to His people and destroyed the temple and city in 70 AD. We also know that Yeshua received all authority from his Father after his resurrection (Matthew 28:18). Therefore, it was the Messiah and God who destroyed the temple and the city because of their unrepented sins and evil works. Josephus also said that it was the divine wrath of God that led to the destruction of Jerusalem and the holy temple.
In the first half of the 70th week, Yeshua confirmed the covenant with many and caused sacrifices and offerings to fail (cease) in the middle of the week. He finished God's work of salvation within about three years. He then ascended to heaven and the clock of the 70th week was paused. The total length of his ministry in his first advent was 1143 days (see Chapter 12). In his final advent, the clock of the 70th week may be re-initiated on 6 Sivan 2027, on the feast day of Pentecost. From 6 Sivan (12 May) 2027 to 1 Nisan (25 March) 2031 (when the Kingdom of God starts), 1413 days will elapse. The 1413 days can be calculated from the Julian day number JD 2461537 for 12 May 2027 and JD 2462950 for 25 March 2031. We will see below that the 1413 days are hidden in the events recorded in the book of Revelation. This should be the second half of the 70th week during which the Messiah will finish God's work of judgment and ultimate salvation. Since 1143 days +1413 days = 2556 days = 7×365.143 days, the time for the entirety of the 70th week is indeed very close to 7 solar years (2556.7 days). A difference of less than one day could be due to the fact that we do not know exactly the starting and ending hours of the two periods and that we do not consider the very short time of his work in 67 AD (see Chapter 33). A schematic diagram in Figure 16 summarizes Daniel's 70 weeks (490 years). The two dashed lines in the Figure indicate two gap-periods: two weeks and 1997 years.
